Founded by David and Marta Alicia Reinen. The Marlee V Fund is a Charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Raising Funds since 2015 founded to assist in the care of premature babies and their families at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Legacy Emanuel Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
David and Marta Alicia’s granddaughter, Marlee, was born three months premature weighing only 1lb. 10oz. The staff in the NICU were incredibly instrumental in the recovery of Marlee as well as her mother, Abby, whom had a number of complications as well.

While completing an album of Latin music, David realized that he had found a purpose for his music; a way to say more than simply “I did something.” Through his music, David and Marta Alicia felt that they had found a way to not only show their gratitude to those whom had helped their family, but to also allow themselves and others to be able to assist other babies, as well as their families during a very stressful time in the NICU.
20% of the CD purchase will go to the Marlee V Fund in your name. David and Marta Alicia will also match that 20%, while the remaining percentage will be used to continue production of David’s CD’s to continue this effort.
The years (since 2015) that the Marlee V Fund has been operating, we have raised funds that have been donated already to the Randall Children's Hospital in Portland. La Guanaquita's Closet and David P. Reinen's CDs proceeds, not just 20% but 100% have been given to this cause.
