Deep Plate Bowl by Bo Fajans, Gefle Scandinavian Pottery
This is a uniquely adorable and super cute Scandinavian deep bowl from the fifties by Bo Fajans, Gefle (Gävle), Sweden.
It is a small Art Deco dish by the Swedish art-pottery producer Bo Fajans of Gefle.
It features hand-decorated surface underglaze brown lines, pale green wide lines and leaves and pink flowers. There are 2 stamps: one outside says “Bosattningsaffaren, Tel. 84, Sunne”; and the one inside is Bo Fajans stamp.
It dates somewhere between 1924 and the factory's closure in 1967 and it might be around the WW2 era. There is a a number written on the button of the dish 1683S or 16835. It’s no chips or cracks.
This piece is in excellent and perfect condition for its age, has no cracks, chips or crazing, still has its original golden paper labels and is clearly marked on the bottom with brownish numbers. It’d be a perfect piece for your collection or as a gift to someone special.
